We're living in a time when people are becoming more and more used to working with digital files and programs. Nearly everyone has a computer, printer, PDA, or eBook reader. So the notion that a digitally produced book would have no market is sheer nonsense.
What if you were to identify a target market of people who have a problem, a need, or a desire. Then you publish a book that speaks directly to that topic. This might sound very boring and uncreative, but it can be incredibly lucrative. Imagine what would happen if you had a lot of money. You could approach a vanity publishing company and pay to have them produce and publish the book you really wanted to write. You have effectively financed this because of all the money you made with eBooks.
You're not alone -- a lot of people are interested in having a book published. There's nothing wrong with that, but you have to realize that we're in an environment where very few authors are discovered. You have to push forward and make a name for yourself.
