Teen Works - Four Teens Tell All - A Guide For Finding Jobs - Book Review

I just finished reading "Teen Works: Four Teens Tell All: A Guide For Finding Jobs" by Noreen E. Messina. I am heavily involved in the teen job industry as the owner of a teen job board and as such I try to read as many books on the subject as I can. My initial thought when I first pick up this book was, not another one. It seems like this is a very saturated niche. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised and found the book to be very informative and entertaining. In fact, it is one of the best books that I have read on this topic.

The book is similar to others in that it explains how to find a job, hot to write a resume, how to interview and other basic tips. What I really liked about the book is that it was actually based on the experiences of four teens and what they did to land their jobs. The book details their job search process from beginning to end and chronicles what worked best and what did not work at all. The person stories really help illustrate the basic themes of the book. The book is written in a humorous and entertaining way. It was very easy to read and once I got started I had to finish it. I really wanted to find out what was happening with the four teen job seekers. I applaud the author for presenting these topics in a fresh and fun manner.

I recommend this book to all teen job seekers. You will pick up many tips and suggestions that will ultimately help you land your next job.
